The Rhythm Angels sprang forth from serendipity as much as from destiny, blossoming from a Women-in-the-Round showcase. It was immediately obvious that the talents of Celeste Krenz and Rebecca Folsom should be combined. Each musician is a talented singer-songwriter and enjoys a successful solo career, but together, this incredibly talented duo creates an inspired new sound described as enchanting and transportive - and at times angelic, and then earthy. Their chemistry on stage is funny and open-hearted. Audiences relish in their songs that tell stories of love and hope. Getting right to the heart of the matter, the Rhythm Angels come bearing beautiful gifts of simple truths, hope and beauty.

The first thing you'll notice about Bev Barnett and Greg Newlon is an amazing blend of voices, offering up real songs and real stories from very real hearts. Rootsy acoustic guitar blends with beautiful vocal harmonies to form a backdrop for lyrics that explore life, love and the pursuit of something real. Listen as this couple weaves reality with hope, around musical styles that range from folk Americana to sophisticated, smooth R&B. Barnett's voice has been called angelic, but with the ability to turn down the sheets. Newlon's guitar encircles the song with delicacy and strength. Together they have a connection that seems contagious, and soon the audience is sharing in the joy and laughter of a very real relationship. |
